Jason Hayes Biography

Executive Chef, Jason Hayes, is an alumnus of Johnson and Whales University in Providence, Rhode Island.  He graduated with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Service Entrepreneurship.  Jason began his career, over ten years ago, at Tianos, as the Lead Line Cook.  He quickly worked his way up to Sous Chef of the West Wind Harbour Grille in Newport, Rhode Island.  Jason’s culinary internship was performed in Pine Mountain, Georgia at the Callaway Gardens Resort, where he participated in nationally recognized events such as the Buick Challenge and Fantasy in Lights.  After completing his internship, Jason worked at various restaurants in Newport, Rhode Island with the position of Executive Sous Chef.  He aided several restaurants in menu development, schedule creation, cost control, ordering products, and catering corporate functions and dining events.  Jason began his career at Bear Trap Dunes in the summer of 2006.
